Dear Members,
After 2 failed attempts to hold the BSCI annual meeting during the global pandemic we have taken the decision to go ahead with a full in-person event at Keble College Oxford from 12-14 September 2021. All of us should be fully vaccinated by then and it will give us the first chance in a long time to meet up as a cardiac imaging community in a safe environment. This will not be run as a virtual or ‘hybrid’ event as we are aiming to provide something distinct from the numerous online offerings over the past year or so. We will be however be recording some of the lectures in the main lecture theatre which will be available to all members in due course including those that cannot or would rather not attend a live event at the present time.
As before, the event is heavily subsidised and includes a dinner in college. This time Keble have offered us an even more attractive rate of £86 per night (bed and breakfast) for en-suite college rooms. We very much encourage all attendees to take advantage of these college rooms as this will provide even better opportunities for networking and will allow us to guarantee full refunds should the unthinkable happen that Keble are not permitted to run the conference due to government restrictions.
