Post-CCT Fellow in Cardiac Radiology

 

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust invite applications for an a post-CCT fellowship in cardiac imaging. The role will involve supporting the consultant cardiac and cardiovascular radiologists in the image acquisition, supervision and reporting of cardiac CT, cardiac MRI (including stress perfusion imaging) and other non-invasive vascular imaging e.g. TAVI and aortic CT. Approximately 70% of case load is in general adult cardiac imaging with 30% congenital heart disease. Within the Trust we carry out 10 sessions/week of cardiac MRI and 4 sessions of cardiac CT. There is optional support of weekend waiting list cardiac MRI supervision.

There will be opportunities to assist with audit, service improvement projects and ongoing research in the Unit. The post is based between the Department of Radiology and the Bristol Heart Institute, Bristol Royal Infirmary. There will also be opportunities to assist with paediatric cardiac CT/MR imaging at the Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Funded for a period of 12 months with the opportunity to be part of the adult/ paediatric Radiology registrar on call rota 1:10.
