We are pleased to be hosting our next Cardiac CT Level I & II course. Teaching and hands-on training will be led by a group of senior consultant cardiologists and radiologists all with BSCI accreditation.

The course follows the BSCI guidelines for level 2 accreditation and over 5 days will include formal lectures that will cover all the relevant topics. Examples of interesting and rare cases will be shown to supplement the experience. Hands-on training and analysis of 150 contrast enhanced cardiac cases will include coronary analysis of various pathologies, bypass grafting and extra cardiac findings etc.

After completion of the course, you will be expected to perform and dual report 25 cases in your local settings before applying for level II accreditation by the BSCI.
For this course, there will be a maximum of 2 attendees per workstation, we keep the numbers attending to a maximum of 24 to increase learning potential and allow you to feel comfortable with asking questions in the small intimate group setting. As a result, early booking is essential. The course can be attended on site and in-person giving you access to perform case analysis on your own computer/workstation.

Virtual Towards Level 2 Cardiac CT

The course is carefully designed to provide ideal active training while simultaneously helping towards meeting the requirements for Level 2 competence as defined in the ACCF/AHA clinical competence statement guidelines.

You do not need prior Level 1 competence. This course will build your knowledge, ability and confidence and help you become an independent cardiac CT practitioner.

The course is held over 6 days, providing ample time for detailed image review with each case demonstrated by a level 3 trainer (SCCT/EACVI).

Core didactic lectures are recorded and will be made available before the virtual course, ensuring the maximum time for case review.

You will see live-recorded cases and discuss interactively the key practical points and pick up tips and tricks to produce the best quality images at the lowest doses.

Group size is limited to ensure adequate interaction with the faculty and to optimise the learning experience.

Edinburgh Cardiac CT Course

The course includes lectures and practical training in interpreting 150 contrast-enhanced CT coronary angiograms, along with multiple non-contrast coronary calcium scans. Additionally, 25 live-recorded CT cases will be presented. Participants will review cases using Terarecon workstations, with one delegate per workstation.

This hands-on training supports the requirements for Level II accreditation as outlined by the British Society of Cardiac Imaging.
