The course follows the BSCI/BSCCT guidelines for level 2 accreditation, and over 4 days will include formal lectures and hands-on training with an analysis of 150 cases with contrast as required by the BSCI/BSCCT. The case mix of 150 contrast enhanced studies will include chest pain patients, known coronary arteries disease, cardiac and congenital cases.
Delegates will learn all aspects of post processing techniques and cardiac reporting on the AW workstation, learning to obtain the most from the technology to take back into the clinical setting. The training will be led by Professor Carl Roobottom – Cardio thoracic Radiologist University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust , Chair of Radiology Plymouth University and Cardiologist Doctor Gareth Morgan – Hughes.
There will be one attendee per workstation, we keep the numbers attending to a maximum of 12 to ensure an optimal learning environment and more focused discussions. After completion of the course, you will be expected to perform and dual report 25 cases in your local settings before applying for level 2 accreditation
