Deepa Gopalan trained in Radiology at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, and has completed fellowships in cardiothoracic radiology at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, UK and Erasmus MC Hospital, Rotterdam, Netherlands; in nuclear medicine at UCH/ Middlesex Hospitals, London, UK; and in vascular intervention at the Sheffield Vascular Unit, Sheffield, UK.
She is currently the Head of Specialty for Cardiothoracic Radiology at Imperial College London and holds the position of Lead Radiologist for Pulmonary Hypertension Imaging at Hammersmith Hospital, London, Associate Lecturer at Cambridge University, Honorary senior lecturer at Imperial College and Academic Associate at the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden.
She has published widely on her specialist subjects (pulmonary hypertension and non-invasive cardiac imaging) and frequently participates as a speaker at national and international cardiovascular conferences.
