Clinical Lecturer in Cardiothoracic Radiology, University of Edinburgh and Radiology Trainee, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh

Radiology Trainee, South East of Scotland

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with Honours degrees in Medicine and Experimental Pathology in 2005. I continued my medical training in Edinburgh and recently completed a British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Fellowship at the University of Edinburgh. I am now a Radiology trainee at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

My research interests include CT coronary angiography, CT myocardial perfusion imaging, PET myocardial perfusion imaging and the molecular imaging of atherosclerotic plaque. I am also trial research fellow for the SCOTHEART study, a multicenter randomized control trial of the role of CT imaging in patients attending the Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic.

I am the radiology trainee representative for the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging committee, member of the British Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance trainee committee and secretary of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography Fellows and Residents in Training committee.

As a co-opted member of the BSCI Executive Committee for the past two years I have been enthusiastically involved in its activities, including developing the new website, creating a social media presence for the society, helping to organise BSCI meetings and setting up the new trainee committee.

In my spare time she I am a computed programmer developing Apps for doctors and patients, and am a keen dancer.
